- Around Australia Trip01/03/2010 - 4:23pm01/03/2010
We have just been sent a customer survey to fill in via email and after it I decided to put a blog on as we were so impressed with the park.
We are from WA and have been travelling since October so have stayed in a lot of parks along the way. We have a car and caravan and had been staying at another caravan park in Merimbula for 2 nights. We were going to move on as it was very expensive at $42.00 per night without our discount. We met some people while we were out sightseeing and they were staying at this park and said it was only $29.00 per night without our discount. This is a huge difference for people who are on the road for a long time. The facilities at this park were far superior to the other. The only advantage to the other was it was closer to town.
At Merimbula Beach Holiday Park we had a site behind the resort pool with access to the pool from a gate behind the van. We looked straight out across the ocean. We had little rabbits hopping around us in the evening. I have told my daughter who is also travelling around Australia with our grandaughter to put this on her list of places to stay. Our 3 yr old grand daughter would love it. We will pass the word on to all we meet as we will be on the road until Oct 2010. Happy Hols everyone!!Written by: Noreen and Barry Golding - End of School Holiday27/12/2009 - 12:35pm27/12/2009
Me and a mate came down for 10 days as a sort of schoolies thing.
the cabin was perfect for the two of us and the pool was the best.
even though we arent 'kids' as such, Brett never turn down an opportunity to show in front of us
and i still keep in contact with him.all the staff were lovely and the place was always so clean :)
our lunch time chats at the cheeky mango while eating great food was the best :)just wanted to say thanks, and that we had a great time..
and i plan on bringin my mum down there for her birthday next year :)

We're heading over to Merimbula Beach Holiday park next Wednesday to start our holiday and I must say....faced with the prospect of not finding accommodation at our favourite holiday park, the holiday season looked grim. A quick email to the holiday park and we were sooooo lucky to secure the Beach House for our family.
I rave about Merimbula beach holiday park because it's the BEST place we've stayed at. I've even had a submission published in the October issue of Mother & Baby parenting magazine with high praise from our family.
The owners are very friendly and nothing is too much effort. I am going to secure our next years holiday at Merimbula Beach holiday park before we leave this year. I don't want another scare of possibly missing out again.
My family wouldn't forgive me.....ever!

I have just hopped off the phone from Sue in the reservation office for Merimbula Beach Holiday Park and if her service is any indication of what our stay will be then I can't wait. Sue was extremely accomodating and pleasant to speak to and very helpful and informative. Service is rare in this world and it should be commended. Thank you Sue!!

I read with interest in the May Edition of the 'Open Road' the article on Merimbula Beach Holiday Park and, in particular, the Armstrong Siddeley Lancaster. Reading this article brought back many happy childhood memories of travelling to the Merimbula Beach Holiday Park from Melbourne (a 2 day trip) in dad's Lancaster with caravan in tow. We spent many happy fishing holidays in the caravan park either in the caravan or later on, in one of the cabins. I enclose for you a couple of photos from that era which I thought you might like. I'm sorry that the quality isn't better. The photos date from approx. 1957. I don't know if it is of any interest to you that my parent's names were Reuben and Edna and my father caught many fish from the beach. With best wishes, Sue Hill.
